In this room there are all kinds of items that been collected throughout the years. There are several black lights, posters, and a bumping stereo. And even though my room is small it easily holds everything to make it comfortable and chill. At night the black lights engulf the whole ceiling with light.
It may look like all the other rooms in the house but, my room is above them all. It is just perfect for me. It is a small place, about 12 feet by 18 feet, with a desk, a dresser, a closet, and of course, a bed. There is always a light scent of vanilla from a candle that I burn sometimes when I want to relax.
The floor of my room is a golden brown carpet. A beige rug covers a small portion of the floor next to my bed. In an array of gloss and semi-gloss, shades of off-white cover these four walls. Entire sections are hidden by nearly a dozen posters of comic book characters, girls, or athletes.
In my bed, I smell the toasty warmth of newly-dried sheets and by my television, my nose can sense the odor of electronic dust. The scent of vegetables cooking seems to be floating into my room, filling my sense of smell and arousing my taste buds as well.
My room is a special place that I can always escape the outside world and concentrate on other important things in my life. When I ever-so-slightly twist my cool to touch brass circular door knob that is adjoined to my delicately wood-stained door I open a passage to a completely different atmosphere.
My room is somewhere I go to find peace and it is the only place in my house where I have absolute privacy. Although at first glance it might seem too messy to some, it is what I call home. Most of the things displayed in my room have a lot of memories behind them that I am constantly taken back to and reminded of every time I look at them.
